East India Company, minted its own coins upto the year 1861. Initially, all the three Presidencies of East India Company viz Bengal Presidency, Bombay Presidency & Madras Presidency, had their own Mints and were minting coins independently till the year 1834. In the year 1835, East India Company standardized the coins for entire country and these coins continued till the year 1861. In the year 1862, the first British India (The Raj) coins were minted. My collection of East India Company coins is very meager.
