CHAPPIDI ABHIRATH REDDY
C/O COL GKS REDDY
Ever since I landed up in London on 21 Aug 2013, I had been going out for Tours on weekends and visiting Friends and relatives on week days, whenever possible. Some of the relatives visited us on weekends, when I was present in London.
Visit to Holburn, Central London
Went to Holburn in Central London to meet my NDA Course mate and Colleague Colonel Sanjay Chibber (Retd), who took premature retirement from the Indian Army and now settled down in UK. He is presently working as a GM (Administration) in an online gaming company in Holburn in Central London. I met him in his office and we had a long chat remembering our days together, over a glass of beer and lunch in a Pub near his office.

Visit Slough, Royal Berkshire, UK - 30 Aug 2013
Slough Listeni/ˈslaʊ/ is a borough and unitary authority within the ceremonial county of Royal Berkshire, England. The town is about 20 miles (32 kilometres) west of Charing Cross, London. It is bisected by the A4 and the Great Western Main Line. The borough area was the most ethnically diverse local council area outside London in the United Kingdom.[2] Slough has the highest proportion of religious adherents in England.[3] Historically, the larger part of the present-day Slough area was in Buckinghamshire with a small part of the borough in Middlesex.
I, along with my elder daughter Jahnavi Reddy and Grandson Abhirath Reddy visited Slough on 30 Aug 2013 to meet my Niece, Radhika M, whose husband is a marketing manager with a software company in London. We were meeting her after almost 4 or 5 years and for the first time after her marriage.

Visit to Forest Gate, Stratford - 01 Oct 2013
Stratford is a district in East London, England, in the London Borough of Newham. It is located 6 miles (9.7 km) east northeast of Charing Cross and is one of the major centres identified in the London Plan. It was historically an agrarian settlement in the ancient parish of West Ham in the county of Essex, which transformed into an industrial suburb following the introduction of the railway in 1839. As part of the growth of London in the late 19th century, Stratford significantly expanded and increased in population, becoming the centre of administration of the Borough of West Ham in 1886 and it has formed part of Greater London since 1965. The more recent economic history is underpinned by a move away from railway works and heavy industry towards becoming a significant commercial and cultural centre. Stratford is the location of the London Olympic Park.
I went to Forest Gate area in Stratford on 01 Oct 2013 to meet another niece of mine Radhika k, who had been living in London from 2006. In fact, I was meeting her for the first time, as I was away in the Army and her father, a cousin of mine was also living away from the village. We had only been speaking on phone earlier and it was a very nice meeting, as it was also the Birthday of her elder daughter Driti.

Visit Hatfield - 17 Oct 2013
Hatfield is a town and civil parish in Hertfordshire, England, in the borough of Welwyn Hatfield. It had a population of 29,616 in 2001,[1] and is of Saxon origin. Hatfield House, the home of the Marquess of Salisbury, is the nucleus of the old town. From the 1930s when de Havilland opened a factory until the 1990s when British Aerospace closed, Hatfield was associated with aircraft design and manufacture, which employed more people than any other industry. Hatfield was one of the post-war New Towns built around London and has much modernist architecture from the period. The University of Hertfordshire is based there. Hatfield is 20 miles north of London. A train service runs directly from Hatfield Station to Kings Cross, taking approximately 20 minutes on the fast service
I visited Hatfield, on 17 Oct 2013 to meet my colleague ol Sanjay Chibber and Family, who stay in a small and beautiful village near Hatfield, which is about 20 Miles from London and falls on London - Cambridge Highway. I met his family, including his father Maj Gen Chibber (Retd), AEC. I met his father after 38 years. When we were Cadets in Indian Military Academy, Dehradun in 1974 - 75, he was a Colonel posted as Head of the Department, Army Education Corps and he retired as Additinal Director General, AEC in 1983, which was the highest rank in AEC. We had a long chat and it was a very enjoyable visit.

Visit Harrow Park
I arrived in London on 21 Aug 2013 and went to Harrow park on 22 Oct 2013, along with my daughter Jahnavi, Grandson and Ujwala whose family lives near our home in Secunderabad. I was thoroughly impressed with the park which is maintained by the local council. Every council has a large park with facilities for children to play.
On arrival at No 4 Terminal of Heathrow. My elder daughter Jahnavi, Sekhar my son-in-law and Aditya my younger son-in-law came to Receive me.
